"The only way to be successful with your customer is to be successful with your associates."
In this inspiring episode, Mindy is joined by Joseph Batdorf and Stephanie Williams to discuss how Bozzuto enhanced and maintained employee morale during such a challenging year. Stephanie and her team focused on creating a sense of belonging among their employees, and created connection through town hall meetings, phone calls from their CEO, a series of Courageous Conversations encompassing the racial tension in our country, and a virtual management awards ceremony to recognize associates for their successes.
Stephanie also stresses the importance of putting employees first in order to enrich morale at all levels. She notes that the way in which we engage with employees is the way we want them to then engage with the customer. Therefore, companies who are recognized for an exceptional reputation with their customer are those employers who are best serving their associates.
Finally, Stephanie reflects on what she is most proud of from the past year and shares tips for those who desire a career in her field. She is proud that Bozzuto stayed the course and built trust among their employees, and she advises to always focus on establishing trust through transparency and perseverance in challenging times.
