"I have a very unusual opportunity from the standpoint of, being a host and producer of a radio show for the industry that I work in, I get a chance to meet some of the great leaders of the industry.”

Mindy Price welcomes Paul Marks to this episode to discuss his experience interviewing industry leaders on his weekly radio program. Marks reflects on some of his most memorable guests, from local Houston industry leaders to Terry Danner, whose show Back to Work focused on recognizing onsite teams’ efforts during the pandemic, and Wendy Drucker and Stephanie Anderson, who worked to raise awareness and implement training for domestic violence and diversity issues, respectively.

Marks also shares insights he has gained about emerging trends as a result of his conversations. These trends include new uses of technology due to the abrupt closures from the pandemic, and potential issues with 5G and connectivity going forward. He also reflects on impactful anecdotes from his show, such as the guest who detailed a costly oversight involving bats.

Finally, Marks details his water conservation efforts through his work with eConserve. His team’s goal is to make properties more water-efficient through analysis and replacing toilets and shower heads at no cost to the communities. This will ultimately save money and increase the property’s value.
